Product update – Inspection window and Overloading membrane

Inspection window relocation K and S series

We are starting to gradually change location of inspection windows for our chain and flight conveyors. Standard delivery will still include inspection window, but location will be transferred from 2.4m extension to drive end. We are prioritizing changes on flight conveyors (S) which will be followed by chain conveyors (K). We expect to implement changes for full range till beginning of 2021, so all deliveries for 2021 season would be updated. Additional inspection windows will be still be available as option from accessories list.

 Advantages:

– Improved monitoring of discharge return flow for flight conveyors

– Easier inspection of end outlet e.g. overflow, blockages etc.

– Decreased lead time due to more efficient manufacturing process.

Overloading membrane relocation K series

Together with changes of inspection window, relocation of overloading membrane will be implemented for K series chain conveyors. Sensor will be removed from top cover and relocated to end wall. Standard MFE sensor will be used and cable entry will be placed upwards to ensure IP53 protection class. ATEX, IP65 and IP66 execution will be available if requested.

To improve cable gland tightness, standard cable gland M20x.15 will be replaced with gland suitable for cables with diameter 4 – 10mm.

Following changes will improve sensor response in case of jam. As well indirectly will benefit cable wiring quality for outdoor installations.
